About our Board

The JCYSA Board is a group of parent and community volunteers who dedicate their time year-round to keeping our youth programs alive. JCYSA holds regular monthly board meetings on the second Thursday of every month at 6pm.  

There are two ways you can participate as a community leader within our organization:

1. Volunteering as a member of one of our Sports Committees.  Each Sport (Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer) requires a dedicated group of volunteers to oversee the smooth planning and execution of a season.  From rostering and team planning, to scheduling referees, to managing fields and concession stands, we need passionate parents and community members to make great seasons for our kids.  As a Committee Volunteer, this is a great way to get exposed to our program for a season.
    
2. Lead as an Active Board Member. Our active JCYSA board members are voted into their seats and are required to participate in the month-to-month decision making and planning required for this organization to be successful.  Our Board Members are required to participate in a minimum number of in-person meetings and must spend 1 year as a non-voting conditional board member before fully voted into a decision making or leadership director position.
